Fallen Apple:
Fresh-pressed cider blended with cream ale
Availability: Autumn. ABV: 6.2%
My goal in building the recipe for Fallen Apple was to create a seasonal specialty that was in and of itself a celebration. I start with fresh-pressed cider from early harvest apples we get from Kickapoo Orchards in Gays Mills. Fermentation leaves the cider tart and champagne-like. I then brew a cream ale designed to put some sweetness and body back into the beer, which rounds out the sour apple notes. This combination of ethereal apple flavor grounded in an “everyman’s” beer makes for a festive and potent brew.

WOW!!! On a trip to Milwaukee, made a stop at The Comet Cafe. Tried your Fallen Apple beer, I'm totally hooked, and I'm from Texas...that was some rodeo beer!

All I can say is WOW! I just got your sampler case and love all of them, Boombalatty, Proper, Knot Stock and Oscura. Do you guys sell sixtels or tall quarters? I would love to have a couple flavors on tap. Thirsty in the Burg!

Just enjoying my second sixer of Knot Stock this week, having myself a summer splurge with my beer of choice.

Usually I think apple beers seem too sweet or un-"beer like"... however, this brew skips both of those tendencies/pitfalls with a crisp, refreshing taste and a great apple flavor without being too overwhelming that it detracts from the beer itself. Very drinkable with a medium-light body and wonderfully aromatic; a perfect compliment to these early autumn days.
